Hair Donation Guidelines Thinking of donating your hair? Thank You!

HAIR WE CAN USE 

  • We encourage all of our supporters to keep growing until they are ready to donate at least 12 inches (30 cms) of hair.

  • Clean, dry hair in good condition and of any natural colour.

  • Permanently dyed hair of any natural colour.

SORRY WE CAN’T USE HAIR THAT IS

  • Less than 7 inches (17 cms) long.

  • Wet or damp.

  • Dyed an unnatural colour (blue, purple, etc) or any hair with a temporary or semi-permanent dye.

  • Primarily grey. We use donations containing a small number of grey hairs as these can be removed.

  • Hair extensions.

SORRY WE CAN’T USE HAIR THAT IS

  1. Cutting and donating your hair

    • Please ensure your hair is clean and thoroughly dry before you have it cut.

    • Please ensure conditioner or other products are completely washed out prior to your final hair cut.

    • Put your dry hair into a ponytail(s) and secure the hair using hair bands at regular intervals.

    • Ask your hairdresser to cut above the top band.

      Concern for the environment is a guiding principle within the work of The Little Princess Trust. Help to play your part by sending your hair in a recyclable parcel such as a cardboard envelope. Please avoid using non-recyclable plastic in any packages.

We will use your details to send a Thank You certificate. You’re welcome to send your hair anonymously, however we will be unable to confirm receipt of your donation or email a certificate. We’ll only keep your details with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any point by emailing hello@littleprincesses.org.uk or calling 01432 352359.
